- We had a question about whether you can receive "reverse 911" calls on a cellphone. According to Capt. Don Hamilton: "I checked with our 911 Center and currently, there is no way to ensure the callers address shows up from a cell phone call to the Center. Each cell carrier is a bit different, but most have the technology to give us coordinates to get within a hundred feet or so. However, all of them do not and they still get several call a day from cell phones with no tracking capabilities. I would encourage your residents that use cell phones instead of a landline to call their carrier to see what level they have."
